Flying to the ground

Flying to the ground still (2015)

I use my flip camera as I use my mac keyboard

This is a short narrative (could be set in loop mode) about noises that we stopped listening, images that we no longer see, small tensions that we no longer feel, inside a neat and tidy pantry in some corner in our brain. The action takes place at the Lisbon mental Hospital Julio de Matos, a serene and well ordered architectural site. Always fascinated me the idea of those landing planes that make daily raids on this paradise of hells. The airport runway is at less than three hundred yards from the hospital. I want to go back there. I could spend years catching those morning noises as I watch people like me with their broken minds walking every morning out of the pink compound for smoking a few cigarettes, cross the noisy Avenue of Brazil to drink a well scalded cup of coffee, or even buy a morning tabloid to know the latest football news, spot some enhanced flesh, or stay tuned to the world wide girl's gossip.
